Shadowstrix Build Guide

Overview

Shadowstrix uses stealth, shadow-based movement, and fast melee strikes to create sudden openings in battle. If you're looking for a class that can finish off fights in a few seconds, the Shadowstrix is your best choice. This class dictates engagements through high-risk, high-reward assassination tactics.

Strengths and Weaknesses

Strengths:

• Best single-target burst damage.
• Excels against squishy classes (Seer, Blackarrow, Sorcerer).
• Stealth (Sneak) allows safe repositioning and escape.
• High combat mobility with teleportation (Phantom Shift).

Weaknesses:

• Very low HP and durability.
• Dependent on abilities to be safe and deal damage.
• Requires precise mechanics and fast reaction timing.
• Struggles against high-level PvE encounters or tanky Mercenaries.

Best Gear & Affixes

For an optimal setup, you should prioritize Fervor, Valor, Stoic, and Elusive.

• Green Kit: Valor and Fervor (Use basic wine for extra stats).
• Blue Kit: Fervor, Stoic, Elusive, and Valor (Use 6-slot wine to maximize stats without overspending).
• Purple/Legendary Kit: Add Aegis and Vitality. The legendary setup aims for Fervor, Aegis, Valor, Vitality, Stoic, Fervid, and Elusive.

Affix Breakdown:

• Fervor: Increases Physical/Magic Damage after hitting an enemy, stacking up to 5 times. Vital for burst.
• Valor: Increases Attack and Defense Penetration.
• Stoic: Provides resistances and restores HP when below a threshold, vital for a squishy assassin.
• Elusive: Dodge energy cost reduction is mandatory for your mobility.

Skills & Loadout

Dagger Combo Focus

• Flash Stride & Shadow Strike: Use both in quick succession to deal burst damage and stun enemies in the shadow's path. Use Shadow Strike as a gap closer, then Flash Stride to reposition behind the target.
• Sneak: Your core stealth mechanic.
• Poison Crow Mark: Hold to aim and throw. Excellent for slowing targets and reducing dodge distance.

Dual Blades Focus

• Phantom Shift: Teleport to a targeted location with increased movement speed. Incredible mobility.
• Spinning Slash: Your main damage output. Spin and dash forward with a powerful strike.
• Flurry Strike / Fang Rush: Excellent chase skills for targets trying to escape.

Talents

Your talent tree should revolve around burst damage and maintaining pressure:

• Frequency Shift & Element of Surprise: Ensures critical hits on backstabs after exiting Stealth.
• Combat Euphoria: Grants extra movement speed and damage stacking when attacking.
• Lightweight: Attack quickly after dodging.
• Sensory Poison: Blinds enemies hit by Poison Crow.
• Chance Recovery: Skill cooldown reduction to maintain your offensive tempo.

Tips & Tricks

1. Avoid Face-to-Face Brawls: You have very low HP. Avoid getting caught in the middle of a team fight. Use skills to disengage safely if focused.
2. Target Prioritization: Look for squishy targets (Seers, Blackarrows, Sorcerers) and burst them down. Avoid attacking tanky Mercenaries head-on unless they are isolated.
3. The Stealth Combo: Hit Flash Stride from invisibility. This guarantees a Poison Crow Mark hit, slowing the enemy. Follow up immediately with super-armor Dual Blade attacks.
4. Communicate: In trios, let your team know when you're diving the backline so they can push the front and draw aggro.
