Who said a Mercenary must always swing a heavy greatsword? The "Mech-Summoner" build turns the Mercenary into a pure battlefield engineer. By deploying an array of autonomous sentry turrets and crowd-control mines across the map, you can sit back and watch enemy waves get shredded in overlapping kill zones.

1. Core Mechanics

This build completely trades personal melee attack stats to max out the [Engineering] talent tree. By stacking cooldown reduction and minion/construct capacity affixes on gear, you can sustain multiple high-tier turrets simultaneously while using magnetic gravity traps to herd enemies right into the center of your crossfire.

2. Skill Loadout

Primary Weapon: Tactical Heavy Crossbow

Active Skills

  • Skill 1: Auto-Turret
    • Usage: Core DPS construct. Up to 3 turrets can be deployed simultaneously to deliver relentless sustained suppressive fire.
  • Skill 2: Magnetic Mine
    • Usage: Planted in narrow choke points. Detonation causes a wide-radius AoE slow and EMP paralyze/stun effect.
  • Skill 3: Tactical Decoy
    • Usage: Deploys a holographic decoy that taunts and draws mob aggro, protecting your fragile turret battery from direct assault.

Stat Priority:

  1. Cooldown Reduction (CDR)

4. Gameplay Tactics

Never lead the charge into melee range. Before engaging, set up Auto-Turrets and Magnetic Mines around corners, choke points, or blind spots. Once aggro is initiated, toss Tactical Decoy into the center of the minefield to group up enemies. Stay safely backline with your Tactical Heavy Crossbow to pick off stragglers and quickly replace destroyed turrets.
