The quintessential assassin build. In and out before they even know what hit them. If you enjoy the adrenaline rush of stalking players in the extraction zone and stealing their hard-earned loot, this is the build for you.

1. Core Philosophy

Never fight fair. You engage only when you have the advantage, burst the priority target (usually the Seer or Sorcerer), and disappear. Prolonged melee trades will result in your death.

  • Hit and Run: You are exceptionally squishy.
  • Information is Power: Use your stealth to scout team compositions before engaging.
  • Target Selection: Always aim for the backline.

2. Skill Loadout

Primary Weapon: Dual Daggers of the Eclipse

The fastest attack speed in the game, allowing for rapid application of critical strikes and status effects.

Active Skills

  • Skill 1: Shadow Cloak
    • Usage: Invisibility for 5 seconds. Breaks on attack or when taking damage. Your primary engage and disengage tool.
  • Skill 2: Venomous Strike
    • Usage: Applies a heavy DoT poison. Excellent for preventing enemies from using bandages while you are retreating.
  • Skill 3: Blink / Smoke Bomb
    • Usage: Instant teleportation to safety. Smoke bomb is a great alternative in Trios to blind multiple enemies and create chaos.

3. Best Gear & Affixes

Speed and critical hits are your only concerns.

Stat Priority:

  1. Critical Hit Rate (Aim for 60%+)
  2. Critical Hit Damage
  3. Poison Damage
  4. Movement Speed

4. Gameplay Loop & Rotation

The Gank

  1. Scout: Find an unsuspecting target fighting PvE mobs.
  2. Buff: Activate any weapon coatings or damage buffs.
  3. Stealth: Use Shadow Cloak and approach from behind.
  4. Burst: Open with a heavy attack (backstab multiplier applies), immediately cancel the animation into Venomous Strike, and follow up with a flurry of light attacks.
  5. Escape: The moment they turn around to fight back, use Blink to create distance and break line of sight.

Matchups

  • vs Sorcerer: Easiest targets. Wait for them to start casting a long spell, then jump them.
  • vs Withered Knight (Shield): Very difficult. Do not engage from the front. If you fail the initial burst, run away immediately.

[!WARNING] Beware of Caltrop Traps from Blackarrows. If you step on one while in Shadow Cloak, the damage tick will instantly reveal you and slow you down.
