Fire Mage Nuke

If you want to see the biggest numbers on the screen during boss fights, this is the build. This is the undisputed king of PvE boss DPS, though it requires a coordinated team to protect you.

1. Core Mechanics

This build ignores crowd control and utility in favor of raw, unadulterated fire damage. The core loop revolves around the Burn status effect.

You apply Burn stacks using your light attacks and low-cooldown spells like Fireball. Once you reach 10 stacks (the maximum), you use Meteor Strike to detonate all stacks for massive percentage-based damage.

2. Skill Loadout

Primary Weapon: Staff of the Inferno

Provides the highest base magical attack and naturally boosts fire-elemental spells.

Active Skills

  • Skill 1: Fireball
    • Usage: Spam on cooldown. Applies 2 Burn stacks per hit.
  • Skill 2: Wall of Flame
    • Usage: Cast this in front of the boss. Any enemy standing inside takes constant tick damage and gains Burn stacks rapidly.
  • Skill 3: Meteor Strike
    • Usage: Your ultimate nuke. Only cast this when the boss has 10 Burn stacks.

3. Best Gear & Affixes

Stack as much magical power and fire damage as possible. You are a glass cannon.

Stat Priority:

  2. Cast Speed (Crucial for getting Meteor off before you have to dodge)
  3. Magical Power

4. Gameplay Loop & Rotation

  1. Setup: Have your Mercenary or Withered Knight pull boss aggro.
  2. Ignite: Drop Wall of Flame directly underneath the boss.
  3. Stack: Spam Fireball and heavy attacks until the UI shows 10 Burn stacks on the boss health bar.
  4. Detonate: Begin casting Meteor Strike.
  5. Repeat: The detonation clears the Burn stacks. Drink a mana potion and start again.

[!CAUTION] Weaknesses: Extremely squishy and lacks mobility. You rely heavily on your teammates to hold aggro while you cast. If a Shadowstrix flanks you in PvP while running this, you have almost no defensive options.
